i heart uMas romantic daw kapag dahan-dahang sasabihin ang "I love you" sa isang tao. Pero mas nakakakilig daw kapag sa Tagalog ito sinambit, "Mahal Kita." Teka lang, mayroon bang pagkakaiba kapag sinasabi ang mga katagang ito. E ano ba ang ibig sabihin ng mga lines na ito?

Love is a word that has lost its foundational meaning. Some people confuse love with a certain emotion or feeling. Basta masabi ng isang lalaki na mahal niya ang isang babae, love na ba iyon? It is not based on emotion or warm fuzzy feelings. It is rooted on something else.

Think about this:

What food do you really, really love? Can you eat that food everyday? Three times a day? Pagkalipas ng ilang araw, tiyak na maghahanap ka na ulit ng ibang pagkain na magugustuhan mo. If your love is based on satisfying an emotion or fleshly drive, it will soon become a dead passive feeling. True love does have its feelings, but is not its foundation.

St. Paul tells that the Bible has a clear foundation of what True Love is about. Consider God's defintion!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

Maybe you have heard this lines over and over but were you able to apply this in your current love relationships. It will be hard for us to say I love you if we haven't really experience it at all.

This Heart's day may we see the foundations of love grounded in God. That whenever we utter "I Love you" or "Mahal kita", we are ready to give love to those persons without expecting nothing in return. We simply love them. That's it! Wala sa paraan how we say it, its how we show that we really love them.

    The air is cold and it's Love's month.. My friends keep on talking bout dates, partners and love.and continuously asking me what is "Love" for me?

    Before I was struggling to define the word LOVE until i personally read Corinthians 13..I never thought that "love "is mostly defined by short-deep words.... patient, kind,not cruel,etc..Simple words but hard to understand.

    Until one day,Me and one of my closest friend experienced what the Living Word tells about love..
    we are stil ready to give love to those persons without expecting nothing in return..LOve in return..

    From that day onwards, whenever my friends ask me how do i define the word Love.. I just smile and give them this verse- COrinthians13.

    yep thats true..the fact that the guy/girl said "i love you" doesnt mean he really mean it...
    di ba action speaks better than words..
    pero marami pa rin yung mga nagkakamali ng pagpili ng mga "love" nila.

    wow!!! at last, i found the site that suits me.. haha!!! i'm thankful of this True Love Waits program for helping me to think good deeds and to pick the right decisions a teenager should know. When i was 13 years old I attended the seminar of True Love Waits and it really touches my heart and tells me that to love God because i'm not yet a woman and i should give my time to God all the days of my life. i'm really blessed and thankful.     last Feb.14,2009 was the best, so far. i celebrated hearts' day (and i opt not to call it Valentine's Day) with a date with my most SPECIAL SOMEONE.
    hehehehe. Dont get me wrong, i have no boyfriend.
